{"id":4274,"date":"2017-06-07T14:33:01","date_gmt":"2017-06-07T13:33:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.genomiqueforestiere.chaire.ulaval.ca\/?p=4274"},"modified":"2019-05-15T19:35:33","modified_gmt":"2019-05-15T18:35:33","slug":"lancement-du-projet-spruce-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.genomiqueforestiere.chaire.ulaval.ca\/?p=4274","title":{"rendered":"Annonce du projet Spruce-Up"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.genomequebec.com\/202-projet\/spruce-up-genomique-amelioree-de-l-epinette-pour-des-forets-productives-et-resilientes.html\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><em>Spruce-Up<\/em><\/strong><\/a> (G\u00e9nomique avanc\u00e9e des \u00e9pinettes pour des for\u00eats productives et r\u00e9silientes) est un grand projet national dont la mission est d\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer par la g\u00e9nomique le d\u00e9veloppement et le d\u00e9ploiement de vari\u00e9t\u00e9s am\u00e9lior\u00e9es d\u2019\u00e9pinettes qui seront plus r\u00e9sistantes aux attaques d\u2019insectes et \u00e0 la s\u00e9cheresse, qui seront plus efficaces au niveau de leur nutrition et qui afficheront de meilleures qualit\u00e9s du bois et de productivit\u00e9. Les \u00e9pinettes sont de loin les arbres les plus plant\u00e9s au Canada, avec des centaines de millions de semis \u00e0 chaque ann\u00e9e. La diversit\u00e9 g\u00e9n\u00e9tique naturelle des \u00e9pinettes est \u00e9lev\u00e9e, ce qui permet la s\u00e9lection de vari\u00e9t\u00e9s am\u00e9lior\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019aide des m\u00e9thodes conventionnelles maintenant acc\u00e9l\u00e9r\u00e9es par les approches g\u00e9nomiques. Le d\u00e9ploiement rapide de telles \u00e9pinettes devrait plus que doubler le rendement \u00e9conomique des plantations, en augmentant la valeur des arbres et en r\u00e9duisant \u00e9galement les pertes d\u00e9coulant des stress environnementaux dans un contexte de changements climatiques. Le projet est appuy\u00e9 financi\u00e8rement par une vaste gamme d\u2019organisations dont G\u00e9nome Canada, G\u00e9nome Qu\u00e9bec, G\u00e9nome BC et G\u00e9nome Alberta.
